I never thought I would need triple-bypass surgery. And I never thought I would need home care services. But I did.
After my heart surgery, a registered nurse from the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health came to my house to help with my wound care. She also helped me figure out all of the new medications I had to take. This was all new to me and it was a little overwhelming. I felt so much better to have an experienced Public Health nurse take care of me in my home — where I wanted to be.
With the caring help of a registered nurse with the Cerro Gordo Department of Public Health, I was back to my full-time job and my farming job in just a few weeks. Thank you, Public Health, for giving me the comfort of having excellent care in my own home!
