New Mohawk Day!

Mason City High School Aug. 17, 2010 Freshmen at Mason City High School learned about JEL during their first day of school as school clubs provided education and an opportunity to sign up for their club.

National Night Out!

What is National Night Out? It's America's Night Out Against Crime!

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

The Partnership for a Tobacco-Free Cerro Gordo and JEL students encourage residents to choose a healthy activity that helps them avoid unhealthy behaviors, such as using tobacco products. At this event, people wrote their "anti-drug" activities.
