Adult Immunizations Child immunizations
Many

Control and Prevention web site. Fact sheets are in Portable Document
Format (PDF). They may be downloaded, printed, and used to make copies. If you
do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download and install
a copy from Adobe's
website.
Anyone
who is 18 or older can receive the following immunizations at
the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health Immunization
Clinic:
Hepatitis A: Two (2) doses of the
vaccine, given at least six (6) months apart are needed for lasting
protection.
Hepatitis
B: Full immunization requires three (3) doses of vaccine over
a six (6)-month period. Usually the first two doses are given
one (1) month apart, and the third dose, five (5) months after
the second.
Varicella
(Chickenpox): Two (2) doses of the vaccine four to eight weeks
apart are needed for anyone over 13 years of age.
MMR: (measles, mumps, rubella).
Pneumonia
vaccine: Recommend one dose after age 45, and one dose after age
65.
Influenza
vaccine (when available): Recommend annual immunization.
Meningococcal
vaccine (meningitis)
Shingles vaccine
Td
(tetanus): Recommend one dose every ten (10) years.
Tdap
Combination tetanus booster and pertussis vaccine.
