Vaccines
for Children (VFC)
The
Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health Immunization Clinic
is a Vaccines for Children (VFC) provider. Through state funding,
the VFC program provides FREE vaccines to your child if
they meet any of the following criteria:

Child
has no health insurance coverage.

Child
is American Indian or Alaskan Native.

Child
is enrolled in Medicaid (Medicaid Greencard, Medicaid HMOs,
Medipass Gatekeeper program, and Medicaid as secondary health
coverage).

Child
is under-insured. This means the child's health insurance
does not cover the cost of immunizations.

through the VFC program.
DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis)

A (ages 12 months-17 years)
Hepatitis
B (birth-19 years)
Hib
(Haemophilus Influenzae)
HPV
(Gardasil)
Influenza:
Recommended for children ages birth to 23 months old and children
age 2-18 who are in a household where they have contact with children
birth to 23 months old. Also, the vaccine is recommended for all
high risk children ages 6 months to 18 years old.
Young children are among the most likely to be hospitalized for
influenza. Even if your child is in excellent health, be sure
to get this protection to keep the good health.
