Healthy Cerro Gordo County 2010 is an initiative to celebrate the well-being of our community and meet the challenge to enhance health issues. This document is a road map for the county to address identified problems and improve the health status of those who live here. The 2010 document targets promoting healthy behavior, protecting the environment and preventing disease and illness.

Chapter 13 - Oral Health: Streamline the system for dental service delivery and oral health surveillance

Chapter 14 - Physical Activity & Fitness/ Nutrition: Promote health, fitness, and quality of life associated with weight management, diet, and physical activity among residents

Chapter 15 - Public Health Infrastructure: Develop a fundamentally sound public health infrastructure that allows public health to deliver essential services to residents

Chapter 16 - Respiratory Disease: Improve the overall quality of life for children with asthma

Chapter 17 - Sexually Transmitted Disease & HIV: Create an environment that promotes the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases through community education, provision of appropriate health care and local surveillance efforts
